Accessibility Statement
Effective Date: April 7, 2026
Steven C. Fraser, P.A. is committed to ensuring that www.firstcoastfamilylawyers.com (the "Site") is accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. We strive to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.
1. Accessibility Features
We have implemented the following accessibility features throughout the Site:
- Semantic HTML — Proper use of headings, landmarks, lists, and other structural elements to ensure content is logically organized and navigable by assistive technologies
- Alternative text — Descriptive alt text on all meaningful images so that screen readers can convey visual content to users who cannot see it
- Keyboard navigation — All interactive elements (links, buttons, forms) are fully operable using only a keyboard, without requiring a mouse
- Color contrast — Text and interactive elements maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against their backgrounds, meeting WCAG AA requirements
- Skip navigation — A "Skip to main content" link is provided at the top of every page so keyboard users can bypass repetitive navigation
- ARIA labels — Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) attributes are used where needed to provide additional context to assistive technologies
- Responsive design — The Site adapts to different screen sizes and supports text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- Focus indicators — Visible focus outlines are provided on all interactive elements for keyboard users
2. Third-Party Content
The Site integrates with third-party services, including Calendly for appointment scheduling. While we have selected services that strive for accessibility, we cannot guarantee full WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance for content and functionality controlled by third parties.
If you encounter accessibility barriers when using Calendly or any other third-party tool on the Site, please contact us directly and we will assist you in completing your request through an alternative method.
3. Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment. We regularly:
- Review and test the Site against WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria
- Train our team on accessible content creation practices
- Evaluate new content and features for accessibility before deployment
- Address reported accessibility issues promptly
4. Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas of the Site may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:
- Third-party embedded content (such as Calendly scheduling widgets) may not meet all WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria
- Some older blog posts may contain images without optimal alternative text; we are working to remediate these
We are actively working to address these limitations and improve accessibility across the entire Site.
